Yes...it has been a while since I last posted. I have been asked by several avid readers (I'm sure I have a whole fan club) why I stopped writing. It definitely got me thinking about how life has changed in the last 8 months. Somewhere in this timeframe my son became the ultimate explorer. We actually used to have a fenced in play area in his room for him to pass chunks of time...then he discovered that the walls to the fencing were movable...escapable if you will. So we "babyproofed" his entire room and made it "every child's dream"...or so we thought. Apparently, attaching a gate at the doorway was like resurrecting the Berlin Wall...oh the horror!
Most days we now spend outside meeting people (Gabe knows more student names than I do) and playing ball. He is aspiring to be the mascot for the soccer and basketball teams...we were always open to our son doing big things.
But being outside is not the only reason that I have lost my keyboarding touch. Late spring we found out we were pregnant with baby King #2. I actually knew I was pregnant the week prior to my period because I was...yes you guessed it...already sick! Thankfully, we were able to travel to Minnesota for 3 weeks this summer and I was able to lay on the couch while my husband and parents ensured my every need was attended. Although I was sad to miss time playing with family and friends, the timing could not have been better and we were fortunate enough to be able to go back for a little Fall in MN...lovely.
We also finished seminary (did I say "we"?) It certainly felt like a family effort (I'm sure much like Jeremey also feels as though he graduated with me) and was certainly a highlight of the summer.
Here are some pictures to update the time that has passed.
