As of late, Gabriel goes into a trance when I put Baby Einstein in the DVD player and of course I follow suit by intently watching my own "little Einstein" as he interacts with and interprets the world. I thought those of you who are not able to see him on a daily basis would enjoy seeing him sit in his bumbo seat and giggle/talk to the kids on the movie.
By the way of updates, our son is now in the 10lb. club! He is officially 10lbs. 5 oz. and is 22 1/2 inches long. Not exactly on the charts yet, but is proportionately and steadly growing.

Green Grass
This week Gabriel has been enjoying the song "I'd like to visit the Moon"...thankfully the words are clear that living there wouldn't be all that fun (I like to add that the best place to be is with Mommy).
He is also facinated with the Baby Einstein video that shows babies and their first movements. He sits in his bumbo chair and giggles when the kids roll-over or shake their bottoms.
Daddy is working on teaching him how to stick out his tongue. He may regret that lesson one day...but until then, it is adorable.

The Mountains
Gabriel and I took our first trip to Lake Arrowhead in the mountains this past weekend for a Journey's Counseling Ministry retreat on emotionally focused therapy for couples (Jeremey was at home studying...boo!).
The crazy life of living on a college campus certainly comes in handy when you need your son to adjust to a room full of therapists playing guitar hero/garage band. Without any preparation, he also adjusted to the change in temperature. We were cruisin' for the past couple of weeks with temps in the 70's in Orange County. Up north on Saturday, we transitioned to a whopping 33 degrees which created the perfect environment for...you guessed it SNOW! At just over 3 1/2 months old Gabe isn't quite ready to go sledding or build a snowman, so we'll save that adventure for another time.
Here are some glimpses from our "daddy and me" home photo shoot. We'll be going on lots of outings when J finishes school this friday so stay tuned for more pictures.
