On Sunday, we officially entered our 7th month of pregnancy! After returning home from a wonderful month in Minnesota, we had an ultrasound to check Gabe's progress. He's doing great! At just over 2 lbs. he has discovered that his mommy's tummy is a great place to practice all of his acrobatic skills and of course he already is proving that he has a mind of his own as it took over an hour for the technican to get the pictures that she needed.
A few highlights of our Fall in California:
- Jeremey's team of RA's are amazing! A couple of week's ago, we had all of them over for RA Family Dinner. It was a great excuse to make Thai chicken curry and to try our hand at apple/cranberry cobbler. After peeling, coring, and cutting 12 large apples, I have a better sense for why my grandma's have always connected their cooking with an expression of their love.
- I started prenatal yoga with Gabe 3 weeks ago. I am enjoying being in a room with women that look just like me (and can move with about as much agility) and Gabe is loving the poses that give him extra belly room to swim.
- Nina (our dog) and I are walking nearly everyday. She is slowly learning to be nice to the other dogs on the trail. She is also Gabe's new buddy. At night and early in the morning she will come to my side of the bed and wait for me to make space for her...then she flops her body down next to my belly and lays there while Gabe kicks her in the back.
- Gabe's room is nearly finished. Jeremey and my dad painted and put in new flooring during the visit my parents made in July. We just completed our hunt for furniture with a drive to San Diego to pick-up an armoire on Craigslist. We love that site and are super pumped that we got all of his furniture for what one dresser would have cost. I'll post pictures of the nursery as soon as we get the crib set-up.
Counting down...
Love,
The Kings

Hey Kings! You two (three if you include Gabriel, and four if you include Nina) are amazing! Kelly and I were so honored that both of you made the trip to Iowa for our wedding. As always, there were memories to be made and interesting hotel rooms to be seen:) We're thinking about a trip to California in March...are you around??
Hey Kings,
Love the info and pictures... Keep them coming. Hugs, The Mellicks
